FASTag KYC update deadline on 31 January

An important announcement has been made by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) that all FASTag user must update their KYC details before 31st January 2024. FASTags with incomplete KYC updates will be deactivated even if there is enough balance in the account. Thus, all FASTag users need to make sure that their KYC details are up-to-date and complete before the deadline to avoid any kind of inconvenience.

What is FASTag?

FASTag is an electronic system which is used to collect the toll tax on the highways, making it easier to pay the toll fees at toll gates. This tag is applied on the windscreen of the car, and it is either connected to prepaid card or a bank account. RFID technology is used, which allows the RFID scanner installed at the toll booth to scan the tag and deduct the toll when a car approaches.

How to check your KYC status?

  1. Go to fastag.ihmcl.com.
  2. Locate the Login tab at the top right corner of the page and click.
  3. Login using your registered mobile number and entering the OTP you received.
  4. Go to My Profile section on the dashboard which will show the KYC status.

Documents required to update the KYC?

  1. Vehicle registration certificate (RC)
  2. Address Proof – Passport, Aadhar Card, Electricity, Water or Telephone bill
  3. Identity Proof – Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter Id, Driver’s license

 

Updating your KYC is a lot easier than you think! Here is how to do it:

  1. Visit the official FASTag website.
  2. Login using your registered mobile number and entering the OTP you received.
  3. Look for “My Profile” section on the homepage and click on KYC tab.
  4. Fill all the required details and click submit button.
  5. Your KYC will be completed.
