‘Fighter’: Hrithik Roshan’s film facing Gulf ban

Hrithik Roshan starrer film ‘Fighter’ which is going to release on January 25th has reportedly been banned in Middle East.The movie is featuring Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and is directed by Siddhart Anand. The film will only be screened in the  United Arab Emirates under PG-15 rating.

The reasons for this ban are yet to be disclosed. Film business expert Girish Johar shared on X:

“In a setback, #Fighter officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. Only UAE will release the film with PG15 classification.”

The film is produced by Viacom18 studios in collaboration with Marflix Picture, starring Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi. Advance bookings for ‘Fighter’ have already started a week ago. The movie pays tribute to the bravery, patriotism and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces.

Fighter Movie Synopsis:

As per the official synopsis, film revolves around a new special unit, Air Dragons, which is appointed by the Air Headquarters in response to terrorist activities in Srinagar Valley. The story highlights their immediate response to any hostile activity, featuring the best fighter pilots selected from the Indian Air Force. It is the story of these Air Dragons who are ready to give everything for the country while going through their internal and external battles.
