Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024:
“Pariksha Pe Charcha an annual program which marked its seventh edition Monday 29th January 2024 was organized by the Ministry of Education. Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages in a conversation with students every year before board exams to help them overcome stress and pressure.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his valuable advice with students preparing for the board exams. While emphasizing on the importance of practicing writing the answers, he advised students to practice writing answers as much as possible so that they can remain stress free in the exam hall.
The Prime Minister stressed that self-confidence comes from constant practice. He said that the more students practice more confidence they will gain, and they will perform well in exams no matter how difficult questions paper is.
He encouraged students to focus on their own efforts and not to get distracted from external factors, he highlighted the importance of self-improvement.
Apart from academic preparation, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of focusing on health and well-being. He asked students to ensure they get enough sleep, stressing over the connection between a healthy mind and a healthy body.
Additionally, PM Modi promoted positive teacher-student relationship to reduce stress. He urged teachers to go beyond the curriculum and develop meaningful connections with students which will help create a conducive environment for learning.
Addressing parents, PM Modi cautioned against unhealthy competition among siblings and urged them to inspire each other positively. He also spoke about the adverse effects of excessive use of social media and advocated for its judicious and responsible use.
To alleviate stress in students, teachers should go beyond focusing solely on examination periods.

The Prime Minister discouraged comparing children and using their achievements as status symbol in the society. He highlighted the need for resilience while dealing with educational and personal challenges. He also encouraged students to set achievable goals and gradually improve their performance.
Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the collective responsibility of teachers and parents in solving students’ challenges, emphasizing on the importance of support and collaboration for enhancing students’ potential.
The Prime Minister specifically advised reducing the screen time (mobile phones) for the sake of maintaining a balanced lifestyle and having a good quality sleep. He stressed on the value of good nutrition and regular exercise for overall well-being.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024: Who All Participated
This program caters to school students from classes 6 to 12. The 2024 edition also involves the participation of parents and teachers, with over 14.93 lakh teachers, more than 5.69 lakh parents, and over 2.26 crore students registering for the event.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024: Purpose Of Interaction
This program facilitates interaction between teachers and students, providing them with an opportunity to interact with PM Modi. The primary focus of the event is the overall development of students, and during the program, PM Modi shared tips on tackling board exams and entrance exams and remain stress-free while doing so. He encouraged students, their parents, and teachers to view exams in the right perspective rather than considering them as a up-hill task.
